About Us

Dr. Dean Kozak

Dr. Dean received his dental degree from the University of Manitoba in 2000 and started at Lakeside Dental. He was happy to return to his childhood home of Kenora and excited to be close to the family cottage in Sioux Narrows. Dr. Dean is a member of the Canadian Dental Association and the Ontario Dental Association.

He has served as general councilor for the region for the Ontario Dental Association as well as past president for the local dental society. He has provided care at Lake of the Woods District Hospital, for over twenty years, for patients in need of treatment under general anaesthetic, with an emphasis on children.  His wife and four daughters along with his ever increasing “livestock” keep him busy when he’s not at the office.

Dr. Liz Keeper

Dr. Liz Keeper obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Manitoba. Dr. Liz is a member of the Canadian Dental Association and the Ontario Dental Association.

She is dedicated to providing patient-centred dental care in all aspects of general dentistry. She aims to educate and treat with compassion and gentleness, while respecting her patients’ individual needs.

In her spare time you might find her playing in the ditches and culverts of Winnipeg or hanging out with her three legged, oversized cat, Albert Einstein.

Dr. Dave McDermid

Dr. Dave has called Kenora home since 1970. He graduated in 1983 from University of Manitoba with his wife Dr. Liz McKenzie and considers himself very lucky that the class was seated alphabetically so that he had the chance to meet her. He has held positions in the Ontario Dental Association, Kenora Rainy-River Dental Society, AGD, Lake Of Woods Dental Society and has trained extensively in all aspects of dentistry.

He values his patients best interests, always. Since passing ownership to Dr. Kozak he hopes to continue full time practice now know as number 2. Friday afternoon and evenings are considered dark time.
